So, we were book for the Workers Club, but now we’re not. That’s ok, for fresh grounds in the north await…
From 9pm till 2am we’ll be offering up a selection of weird disco, moog brilliance, library funk, cash-in covers, OST and whatever else comes out the box in the Phoenix Public House Front Bar. The jewel of Brunswick as some would say.
As per usual, there are a million other things on tonight in Melbourne. Once the cops have closed them down or security have moved you on, we’ll be waiting.
Both attending and dancing is free.
Remember when Melbourne had all those cool warehouse spaces where strange shows and even stranger parties use to happen? Remember when artist use to be able to rent a bit of crappy space for not much? Then the real estate agents came…
Anyway, KIPL down in West Melbourne are still keeping the dream alive. They need your help though are are throwing a fund raiser. The Bachelor Kitchen DJs will be gladly lending their ability to operate turntables to what should be a fun night indeed.
Line up so far is this:
BACHELOR KITCHEN DJs
OSCAR ‘N’ MARTIN DJS
Plus smoke machines and lasers. That’s right, freak’n lasers!
Kicks of at 9pm.
136 Roden Street, West Melbourne
See ya there.
On the 19th of November, we invaded someone’s house and forced their house mates to put up with our idea of ‘fun’, and indeed it was. If you missed the broadcast or just need to hear the same 10 songs being covered in a variety of ways (moog, big-band, disco or moog big-band disco), enjoy the box below.
Vodpod videos no longer available.
The Bachelor Kitchen DJs are venturing out to a new and exotic location…
From 9pm till midnight at Hells Kitchen we’ll be offering a selection of moog, library funk, weird disco, cash-in covers and ‘failed world music’ tracks for your entertainment.
Move the chairs and dance if the mood takes you.
Free to enter, but you’ll have to buy your own drinks at the bar.
Once again, it’ll be the Bachelor Kitchen DJs pleasure to return to the on going Ice Cream Saturday nights.
From 9pm till 1am in the Front Bar of The Workers Club (Brunswick St. Fitzroy), we’ll be trying to impress you and each other. Expect strange disco covers, foot shaking studio bands, library wig outs, other world good-times. The dance floor is small but we would love it if you come down and made the action big.
As always, it free.
